We’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to join our core team in Burton on Trent.

This critical role will help the agency to be first on the pitch list and to win new clients. Working alongside the agency’s senior leadership team to identify prospects, both proactive and reactive, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.

You will ideally have some experience in marketing industries as well as A-level or graduate level education.

Typical Activities:

  • Meeting clients to discuss their advertising needs
  • Working with studio to devise a campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget
  • Presenting campaign ideas and costings to clients
  • Briefing the creative team who will produce assets etc
  • Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met
  • Checking and reporting on campaign progress
  • Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign and aftercare
  • Managing the account’s budget and invoicing the client
  • Social management and content for multiple clients
  • Copywriting as needed on projects
Your basic working hours will be between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, although you may have to work longer if you have deadlines to meet. Start and finish are flexible within reason.
You will be office-based but will also travel to meet clients.

About you:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • First class organisational skills
  • Confident, ambitious and proactive
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • A keen eye for detail and an understanding of budget restraints
  • A personable and professional character that will allow you to build client rapport
  • Demonstrate expertise, tenacity and energy for the NB
  • Full UK Driving Licence (we may be central but it’s essential that you can drive to appointments from time to time.)
