Davies + Scothorn & The Kingfisher Project

Davies + Scothorn are delighted to present a fresh new look for Kingfisher, complete with a brand new logo and a transformed web solution.

“The Kingfisher Project” is a community group based in Burton formed in March 2005, made up of residents from the area who had a genuine desire to conserve and improve the wonderful town that we call home here in Burton-on-Trent. They initially set up the group when they identified local dissatisfaction with ‘The Kingfisher Trail’, a beloved public footpath that runs alongside the Trent and Mersey Canal, and noted its potential for positive change. With the support of 5 local schools and a total of 12 local stakeholder agencies they have now developed a number of other projects and they continue to strive and improve the quality of life for the whole community. The group have been awarded multiple times for the work that they’ve done with partners, schools and the local community in maintaining and preserving wildlife and conservation areas.

We became familiar with the Kingfisher Project through various good friends of DS and with our expertise in marketing and branding we wanted to see what we could do to help. Davies + Scothorn are delighted to present a fresh new look for Kingfisher, complete with a brand new logo and a transformed web solution. These instrumental changes made to their brand identity and website functionality enable them to better communicate with partners and consumers, and brings to life a public means of information of how they too can help the community group.

At Davies + Scothorn we always have been, and always will be, keen to help charities and businesses alike maximise their digital potential and to build solutions that fit each entity with a unique touch.

For Kingfisher we wanted to create a strong brand and to build an easy to use, engaging website, in an effort to bring them closer into the spotlight. For DS, the community is the beating heart of this town and after all, we’re all about hearts, minds & bottom lines.
