Davies + Scothorn nominated as Finalists for Business of the Year at the Trent and Dove Impact in the Community Awards 2018

Trent & Dove Housing celebrated their 13th annual Impact on the Community Awards on Friday 2nd November.

The evening recognises all of the vital work carried out by individual people, organisations and local businesses and shines a spotlight on the projects which are “Transforming Homes, Lives and Neighbourhoods” across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire.

The awards ceremony was held at The Pirelli Stadium in Burton upon Trent and guests were given the full “Oscars” treatment befitting their status as outstanding members in their communities.

Almost 55 individuals, organisations and local businesses were nominated for an award, which Trent and Dove said made the judging very difficult.

Davies + Scothorn were nominated as Finalists for the Business of the Year 2018 Award. Our MD Blair Davies and designer Ryan Tranter attended the awards. They enjoyed a three-course meal, entertainment from the magician, and a brilliant speech from the surprise celebrity host for the evening Kriss Akabusi. Kriss is best known as an Olympic athlete and for his appearances on A Question of Sport and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He was a fantastic motivational speaker, drawing on both his life experiences along with his sporting achievements.

Hardy Signs took the award for Business of the Year, but as both friends and clients of Davies + Scothorn, we were very happy for them and it was thoroughly deserved.
