Front End Developer 
Davies + Scothorn are a marketing and design agency based in Burton on Trent. We are currently looking to recruit a Front End Web Developer. You will work on a diverse range of web sites, each with differing client needs. Your role will involve installing and configuring a variety of eCommerce and CMS systems and bringing our design team’s work to life.

You should have a sound knowledge and a desire to keep up to date with the rapidly evolving world of modern web standards. We are looking for candidates who are able to help us continue our push into the challenges and complexities of the mobile web and beyond.

We are looking for someone with problem solving skills, responsive and mobile design skills, as well as capabilities in the following:
–        HTML & CSS
–        JavaScript
–        jQuery
–        JavaScript Frameworks
–        Front end Frameworks
–        Experience with CSS Preprocessors
–        Experience with RESTful Services and APIs
–        Cross Browser Development
–        Experience in deploying open source or other Content Management Systems and E-commerce systems
–        Testing and Debugging
–        Git and Version Control Systems

Business Development Manager 
This critical role will help the agency to be first on the pitch list and to win new clients. Working alongside the agency’s senior leadership team to identify prospects, both proactive and reactive, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
Ideally, we would like someone with a relative understanding of, and passion for, the world of marketing, with some experience of working in an agency.
Your time will be spent:
–        Meeting clients to discuss their advertising needs
–        Working with studio to devise a campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget
–        Presenting campaign ideas and costings to clients
–        Briefing the creative team who will produce the adverts etc
–        Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met
–        Checking and reporting on campaign progress
–        Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign
–        Managing the account’s budget and invoicing the client
–        Social management and content for multiple clients
–        Copywriting as needed on projects
Your basic working hours will be between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, although you may have to work longer if you have deadlines to meet. Start and finish are flexible within reason.
You will be office-based but will also travel to meet clients.
